Chef Scott Donhauser has been a well-known figure on the Western New York dining scene for more than 20 years. Leaving Daffodils Restaurant in 2003 after serving as the executive chef for five years, Donhauser has recently returned to elevate the standard of excellence that diners have come to expect and appreciate at this Western New York landmark. His style of cooking combines a variety of regions from Mediterranean to Asian and Southwestern. During his previous leadership at Daffodils, guests came to know what it meant to be spoiled. Only the finest quality steaks, seafood and lamb racks made their way into his kitchen where his attention to detail and culinary creativity made for a truly unique dining experience. His passion for creating exciting dishes and respect for the art of cooking makes him one of the most respected chefs in Western New York.

You may have seen Donhauser over the last several years on Channel 7’s AM Buffalo, preparing some of Daffodils signature dishes. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of Florida, Donhauser has lived in the Western New York area for more than 20 years. He teaches classes monthly at Martins Cooking School in Amherst and Tops Cooking School in West Seneca where he is one of the most popular and highly requested guest chefs.  His accomplishments include being selected to serve as the food stylist and prepare Weight Watchers approved dishes for a live national television broadcast for Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, International spokesperson for Weight Watchers. He also served as the consulting executive chef for a local online company that offered website listings to local restaurants and bars. Some of his recipes have been published in various cookbooks around the region and he has been a featured chef in many national publications about his creativity and cuisine. He has donated his services to several local charities including the March of Dimes, Hunter’s Hope, Beechwood Continuing Care, Shea’s Performing Arts Center, Buffalo Sabres Alumni and the Buffalo Zoo. Donhauser has also served as a local media representative for several national companies including Cutco Cutlery and Eggland Eggs.
