I first painted this in response to the non-activity of the community of
Niagara Falls, New York. Seeing the city in decay for many years gives
the people of our community a sense of hopelessness. The cows represent
the lazy unemotional existence of our leaders. The outlined couch
represents the false sense of comfort. The large painted area on top
represents the illusion of our city being saved from an outside entity. |
